Building Hope: Supporting A Friend’s House in 2025

  • Sharing My Journey,

This year, I felt called to give back in a meaningful way. After learning about A Friend’s House and the work they do for children and teens in crisis, I knew this was where my heart belonged.

Since 1998, A Friend’s House has opened its doors to more than 3,100 children who needed safety, care, and a place to call home in their hardest moments. What started as a small 12-bedroom shelter has now grown into a 24-bedroom home where children find not just shelter, but also stability, support, and compassion.

I was deeply moved by their mission — not only to provide emergency shelter, but also to walk alongside children and teens as they heal and rebuild their lives. That’s why this year, out of my own pocket, I donated $3,000 to support their incredible work.

I didn’t do this for recognition. I did this because every child deserves to feel safe, cared for, and loved. A Friend’s House is more than just a building — it’s a symbol of hope, built by the love of the Henry County community.

This is just the beginning. My dream is that others will join me so together we can make an even greater impact. Whether big or small, every gift matters. Every act of kindness helps keep those doors open for the next child who needs “a friend’s house.”
